You can make a difference!

STIC is working towards a more inclusive world for people with disabilities, but we can’t get there without you! As a disability rights, advocacy and service organization STIC supports children and adults with disabilities to live fully independent lives in their communities. Our services and advocacy efforts are focused on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for people with disabilities.

Some of the people whose lives have been touched by STIC include:

A young man who could not speak was able to communicate with his family and friends using a device from STIC’s technology assistance program.

A child was able to move freely around his home with the use of a specially adapted wheelchair from STIC’s equipment loan closet.

A young woman with a disability who had never worked was assisted by STIC’s Supported Employment program to secure and learn a job.

An elderly woman was able to hire and schedule her own aides to assist her with bathing and meal preparation, through STIC’s Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program, allowing her to remain in her home.

A local farmer was able to find affordable health insurance for his family for the first time with the help of our Health Insurance Navigator program.

A man with a disability was assisted to move out of a nursing home and into his own apartment with the assistance of our Open Doors program.

Without the assistance provided by STIC, the individuals above and tens of thousands of others would not have access to the supports and services they need to be independent. Your support and generosity allows us to continue to impact our community one child or adult with a disability at a time.
