Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field and two years of experience in a Human Resources position.
Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work tasks, and work effectively in both a team and individual setting.

Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
Responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 403(b) plan.
Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
Conduct new-employee and onboarding orientations
Assist with recruiting, sourcing, and onboarding of employees including pre-employment screening and tracking
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Ensure compliance with applicable labor and employment laws in HR-related activities and problem resolution in order to mitigate litigation risk
Complete employment/ wage verifications both oral and written
Process all paperwork in regards to FMLA, NYS Disability, ADA and Medical Leaves.
Maintain employee files before, during, and after employment, in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Assist in hiring process by posting available positions, reviewing resumes, and performing and setting up interviews and reference checks.
Maintain human resources records by filing and retaining applications, resumes, and applicant logs.
Maintain supervisor and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential.
Act as back up for Human Resources Department as needed.
Perform any other related duties as required by supervisor
