employment Services Coordinator

Position: Employment Services Coordinator

Hours: Non-exempt, full-time 40 hours per week

Qualifications

  1. Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a Bachelor’s Degree and at least four years relevant experience delivering vocational services to individuals with disabilities.

  2. Experience in program administration/oversight including community outreach, public relations and recruiting, training and supervising staff.

  3. Experience providing job development, job coaching, situational assessments, job placement and other supportedemployment services, preferred.

  4. Ability to effectively interact and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  5. Ability to multi-task and work effectively in both a team and individual setting.

  6. Excellent conflict resolution skills.

  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  8. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  9. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  10. Strong commitment to the integration of people with disabilities into all aspects of community life

  11. Valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

  1. Direct and oversee STIC’s Supported Employment Department in accordance with applicable laws and regulations including developing and updating policies and procedures.

  2. Comply with all STIC policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal laws and regulations related to ACCES-VR and OPWDD Supported Employment and related services.

  3. Conduct outreach and community education regarding STIC’s Supported Employment services.

  4. Work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings and evenings with extensive travel throughout multi-county service area.

  5. Expand STIC’s network of potential employers and situational assessment sites throughout our three county service area.

  6. Maintain a cooperative relationship and regular contact with funding sources.

  7. Facilitate individual situational assessments, develop jobs, provide ongoing coaching and support and monitor employment placements for consumers.

  8. Assist consumers with on and offsite accommodations/issues and/ or make referrals to  appropriate programs and services.

  9. Serve as back-up for job coaches/Employment Specialists, as necessary.

  10. Conduct periodic audits of Supported Employment program files to ensure compliance.

  11. Attend all mandatory agency trainings, meetings, sign language class and advocacy groups.

  12. Maintain program service records, collect statistical data and prepare and submit program reports as required.

  13. Other job-related tasks as needed and time permits.
