SIGN LANGUAGE

INTERPRETER SERVICES

The Interpreter Services Department at STIC coordinates the provision of sign language interpreters for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. We provide: ASL Interpretation, Transliteration, Oral Transliteration, and Deaf/Blind Tactile Interpretation. Assignment sites include: All educational settings, hospitals, medical offices, technical training, employment needs, seminars, theatre, courtrooms, religious services and more. We are also able to provide some remote virtual interpreting services through various platforms. STIC Interpreter Services also advocates for the provision of services in accordance with the ADA regulations.

We accept requests through phone, fax, email or mail. Please give as much notice as possible to allow STIC to get the most qualified interpreter available within the area. We highly suggest that you request an interpreter at least 10 days in advance.  At times last minute requests and emergencies can be accommodated but due to the high volume of requests there is no guarantee.
