Xscapes FAQ
You can book a room here on our website, through Resova the booking system we use, up to 24 hours in advance. If it is less then 24 hours in advance you can give us a call at (607) 760-3322. Last minute booking depends both on prior bookings and staff availability.
We are located at 135 E. Frederick St. Binghamton, NY 13901. We share a building with The Southern Tier Independence center, who we are a fundraiser for. When you arrive you'll want to go to the side door of the building and you can park in the lot across the street.
The games are designed for groups of 4 to 8 people. You can play with less then 4 people but still will need to pay for four spaces in order to book a room. If you give us a call we can potentially add 2 more players allowing for up to ten in a room.
We understand that plans can change and we strive to be as flexible as possible. Please review the following guidelines regarding cancellations and rescheduling:
- Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance of your scheduled appointment are eligible for a full refund.
- Rescheduling is available if you contact us at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment.
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours in advance, or after the scheduled appointment time, are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

We would prefer you book in advance but if we have an opening and staff available we do our best to accommodate last minute bookings. Just give us a call and we'll work together to find a time and game for you and your group to play.
No our games are meant to be enjoyed by a variety of ages. For the last pharaoh standing we recommend at least 8 and up and for our other games we recommend ten and up. For groups with children under 16 you will be required to have an adult in the room with them.
We recommend arriving 20 to 15 minutes before your game. There is a short video you will be required to watch which does add to the over all length of the experience.
The only way you can guarantee your group will be alone is if you book for all 8 slots in the time slot you'd like to book for.
Yes as long as no one has reserved those spots you will be able to add additional players. You can pay for them with cash or card upon arrival. To reserve additional spots ahead of time just give us a call.
No the door you will enter will not be locked. That is a fire hazard we'd prefer to avoid. You will be working to leave through a different door then you entered. You can feel free to step out and take a call or use the bathroom. Your timer however will not stop running once it has began.
If you book over the phone you can pay with cash or card when you arrive.
If you have Xscape Bucks, a coupon, or gift certificate call and book over the phone. Then give your coupon, or gift certificate to your game master at the door.
You'll want to park in the lot across the street from the building and come to the door facing the entrance of that parking lot.
Yes with advance notice we can accommodate groups up to 50. We also have two conference rooms that can be rented for use before or after your game, they work great for parties and team building presentations/breakdowns.
We've done our best to make the games as accessible as possible. All of our games and are building are wheelchair accessible. Some of the lights in The Twilight Zone may be a little intense for individuals with sensory issues.
Our games are designed to be fun for everyone. It will be suspenseful and thrilling but we do not have any horror themed games at Xscapes
No. The games are designed to be played by people with a large range of abilities.
Bottled water is allowed in the room but no other food or drinks are permitted.
An escape room is a maze of puzzles focused around one central theme.
With the video introduction our hour long games, The Last Pharaoh Standing and Valley of The Kings take an hour and fifteen minutes. With the video our hour and a half long games: The Twilight Zone, Wizards and Dragons, and Exit Protocol take about an hour and forty five minutes.
