TRAID

The TRAID (Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities) Program lends assistive technology equipment to anyone in our five-county service area at no cost.  Loans are typically 30 to 60 days depending on need.   We have a variety of equipment and technology to help with all types of disabilities.

The loan closet is open Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm.  Appointments are required for services. For the foreseeable future, TRAID will be doing all equipment pick-ups and drop-offs curbside at the STIC building.  There are limited instances in which deliveries and pick-ups can be arranged, but are not always available.  TRAID accepts donations of equipment provided there is a need and the items are in working order.

In addition to loaning items, TRAID can also give demonstrations of the use of assistive technology, give trainings and presentations to groups, and provide information and referrals.

Equipment available for loan from TRAID includes:

Adapted Toys and Switches

Communication Devices

Computer / Peripherals / Software / Hardware

Devices for people who are blind/ Visually Impaired

Devices for Deaf / Hard of Hearing
