Behavioral Support Specialist

The Behavior Support Specialist provides individualized behavioral support to children and adults with developmental disabilities participating in Family Support Services (FSS) and Community Habilitation (CH) programs.
In-Person Assistor/Navigator - Chenango

The Navigator position at STIC helps individuals and families understand and access health insurance options. They assist clients in navigating the complex world of healthcare plans, ensuring they are informed about their choices and enroll in appropriate insurance coverage.
Resource and Referral Specialist - Norwich
Full-Time
The Family and Community Centers will serve a unique role to ensure that parents, agencies, school district personnel, counties, and other stakeholders have the knowledge, information, and procedures in place to use the foundational principles outlined in the New York State Education Department’s Blueprint for Improved Results with an eye toward improving access, equity and opportunity for all children and their families.
Direct Support Professional
Part-Time
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) delivers one-on-one Community Habilitation services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting them as they develop skills, pursue personal interests, engage in new experiences, and build meaningful relationships within their community.
TBI Waiver Nurse Evaluator
Full-Time
Non-clinical community-based nursing position conducting in-home and telehealth level of care assessments of TBI Medicaid Waiver applicants and participants to determine programmatic eligibility. Reviews medically complex service plans to ensure care plan is appropriate for the individual’s needs.
Professional Counselor
Full-Time
The Counselor provides inclusive counseling services to individuals with disabilities across the lifespan and their families. This role utilizes talk therapy alongside creative and mindfulness-based modalities to meet diverse needs and co-occurring conditions.
Open Doors Transition Specialist
Full-Time
The Open Doors Transition Specialist facilitates the move of individuals from institutions (such as hospitals, nursing homes, or intermittent care facilities) to community-based settings by developing discharge plans, educating on community services, and providing one-on-one advocacy.
Fiscal Administrative Support Specialist
Full-Time
The Fiscal Administrative Support Specialist plays an important role in both the fiscal department and the overall operations of STIC. As the first point of contact for visitors, consumers, and employees, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience while also handling essential administrative tasks.
Mental Health Counselor
Full-Time
The goals of the Children and Family Mental Health Counseling Program for children dually diagnosed with Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, as well as their families are to increase emotional stability, socialization skills, enhance or maintain relationships and friendships, improve educational outcomes, develop coping mechanisms for stress and anger, and improve their sense of well-being.
