The Consumer Directed Personal Assistance (CDPA) program allows eligible consumers who receive personal assistance services to advertise, hire, train, supervise and dismiss (if necessary) their own Personal Assistant(s). STIC acts as the Fiscal Intermediary for CDPA Services for Personal Assistants hired by Consumers in the CDPA Program. STIC coordinates the pay and benefits of Personal Assistance workers and bills for reimbursement for the hours that they work. In every other respect, it is the Consumer who is the employer and supervisor of his/her own Personal Assistants.
